I have a 2-pronged approach. I first work with my clients in identifying sufficient calming and coping mechanisms to deal with the here and the now. The next step is to map out the core issues that are causing the presenting concerns, and create a plan in healing them from the source. I have treated many clients who have been in therapy for years without actually tackling the root of the problem.
